Subsea Engineer
Subsea Engineers are responsible for the design and installation of equipment and structures below the surface of the sea.
Typial Day/Duties.
Provides technical and engineering support and guidance to offshore or on site teams.
Manages the installation of wellheads on the seabed and the pipelines joining them to the platform.
Management of all subsea workscopes related to an asset, including the management of contractors/suppliers for the workscope.
Produces budgets and plans for specific studies or modifications and manage the cost control process.

Subsea Engineers support subsea projects and activities offshore.
Subsea Engineers can work for a range of companies including companies who own or manage production facilities known as Operators , Service Companies and Engineering Consultancies.
Basic entry requirements include necessary
HND in a related engineering subject with relevant work experience or equivalent or;
Degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent.
Employers might also look for desirable
Willing to become a Chartered Engineer a professionally recognised qualification
Willing to and has the ability to gain offshore safety training and Medical Certificate
Work experience in a similar role gained during University/study
Typical starting salary may be in the region of
AED27,000 – AED40,000
Typical Salary once experienced
AED60,000 upwards
Career development.
Through your career you might progress to become a Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer or a Consultant.
It may also be possible to become a Team Leader or Manager.
