Job Description:
The Company:
Our client is one of the largest urban design and civil infrastructure companies, helping the leaders of Saudi Arabia’s cities to better prioritize projects, plan ahead and provide for sustainable growth. They are currently seeking a Site Inspector for a water project.
The Project:
The project is a Treated Water Transmission Pipe Lines 450km long project that includes: GRP and CS pipes, valve chambers, Surge Towers and Pump Stations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Site Inspector will be responsible for monitoring the daily contractor construction activities
Works under the direction of the Construction Manager and with full coordination with Construction Engineers to provide assistance in the supervision of the works undertaken by Contractors
Monitor the progress of the site activities in coordination with the Core Team
Supervise and remain vigilant regarding all aspects of the construction activities. Respond with appropriate and necessary levels of construction supervision in accordance with Contract Documents
Monitor the contractor’s work in accordance with the approved construction procedures
Provide all photographs before, during and after construction necessary to provide adequate documentation of changes at site
Coordinate the construction work with the local authorities and contractor
Observe the safety procedures followed by the contractor. Issue instructions as necessary to correct safety violations
Attend progress meetings held at the site if required by the Construction Manager
Assist in the final inspection and handover of the work. Review the adequacy and accuracy of the defect lists
Coordinate with laboratory Technician and arrange for sampling and testing of sastifactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials. Work closely with the core team and the QA/QC engineers to meet milestones of the project.
Qualifications & Experience:
Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree
Safety Certificates or courses
10 years minimum experience
Driving license Required.
